Dementia Diaries

Overview:

Dementia Diaries is a UK-wide project that brings together people’s diverse experiences of living with dementia as a series of audio diaries.

It serves as a public record and a personal archive that documents the views, reflections, and day-to-day lives of people living with dementia, with the aim of promoting dialogue and changing attitudes. It is aimed at enhancing the quality of life for individuals with dementia through sharing their personal accounts with the public.

Why is it important:

The project is accumulating valuable insights into the diverse experiences of people living with dementia. With this new information, dementia diaries are helping to raise awareness and increase understanding among communities, individuals, and healthcare professionals, allowing them to comprehend better the daily challenges faced by those with dementia.

How does it work:

  • You send the recording through a voicemail to the number provided after signing up.
